A staffer at the Ecuadorian consulate in Minneapolis, Minnesota prevented an ICE agent from entering the building on Tuesday telling him, “you cannot enter here, this is a consulate.”
The ICE agent then threatened the worker who blocked the entrance with his body, saying “if you touch me, I will grab you” repeatedly.
In a statement on Wednesday, DHS spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin said that “DHS has no record of ICE or Border Patrol being near this location.”
“We are continuing to check with other federal agencies that are on the ground to see if they had a presence at the consulate. We will continue to provide information as it becomes available,” she said.
