Iran earns of possible attacks on US bases and aircraft carriers

Iran has vowed immediate military retaliation against US assets in the Gulf as the EU blacklists the IRGC and President Trump readies a naval armada for potential strikes.

Iran’s military warned Thursday it will “instantly” strike US bases and aircraft carriers following President Trump’s warning that “time is running out” for a new nuclear deal. Tensions escalated further as the European Union designated the Revolutionary Guards a “terrorist organisation” for their role in crushing domestic protests. Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia stated US carriers have “serious vulnerabilities” within range of Iranian missiles.

The EU’s landmark decision follows reports of thousands of protesters killed by security forces during recent anti-government demonstrations. EU chief Ursula von der Leyen defended the move, stating, “’Terrorist’ is indeed how you call a regime that crushes its own people’s protests in blood.” Meanwhile, UN chief Antonio Guterres has urgently called for nuclear negotiations to avoid a regional crisis with “devastating consequences.”
