Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) forcefully rejected an invitation to appear on Fox News’s “Jesse Watters Primetime,” calling the host a “pervert” and accusing him of sexually harassing her on air. The confrontation occurred Wednesday when a Fox producer approached her outside the Capitol, prompting the congresswoman to cite Watters’s past comment that she wanted to “sleep with” White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller.
“He has engaged in horrific, sexually exploitative rhetoric,” Ocasio-Cortez said in a video of the exchange. She later reposted the clip on X, writing, “You can either be a pervert or ask me to be on your little show. Not both.” The Hill has reached out to Fox News for comment; Watters has long been a critic of the progressive lawmaker, who has not appeared on his show since its 2022 launch.
