Horrifying footage circulating online shows Russian soldiers allegedly punished by their commanders after refusing to take part in assaults near the frontline. One soldier was seen taped upside down to a tree in freezing conditions, while another was tethered to a tree and forced to eat snow by a superior officer.
In the video, a commander is heard shouting: “[They] wanted to **** off from their positions, not follow orders,” before forcing snow into one man’s mouth and saying, “Eat, you ****ing *****.” One soldier pleads, “I’m sorry, it won’t happen again,” as the abuse continues.
