Trump, his sons, and the Trump Organization are suing the IRS and Treasury for $10 billion over alleged 2019–2020 leaks of their tax records by a former IRS employee.
President Donald Trump, his two eldest sons, and the Trump Organization have filed a $10 billion lawsuit against the IRS and U.S. Treasury, alleging leaks of their confidential tax records. The Miami federal court complaint claims former IRS employee Charles “Chaz” Littlejohn disclosed the documents in 2019 and 2020 to media outlets, including The New York Times and ProPublica.
A spokesman for Trump’s legal team said, “The IRS wrongly allowed a rogue, politically-motivated employee to leak private and confidential information about President Trump, his family, and the Trump Organization.” Littlejohn, now serving a five-year prison term, previously admitted leaking tax records of Trump and other wealthy individuals to investigative outlets.
