Witness claims US used ‘mystery weapon’ that made soldiers vomit blood in Maduro capture

The United States used a powerful and unidentified weapon during a Jan. 3 raid to capture Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro, causing soldiers to bleed from their noses and vomit blood, according to a witness account shared on X by White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.

A Venezuelan guard told the New York Post that US forces disabled radar systems before deploying drones and a small unit of about 20 troops, adding, “They were technologically very advanced. They didn’t look like anything we’ve fought against before.”
The guard said the operation escalated when an unfamiliar weapon was deployed, describing it as “a very intense sound wave” that left soldiers incapacitated. “We all started bleeding from the nose. Some were vomiting blood. We fell to the ground, unable to move.

We couldn’t even stand up after that sonic weapon — or whatever it was,” he said. The White House has not confirmed the account, while an estimated 100 Venezuelan security personnel were killed during the raid, according to Venezuela’s Interior Ministry.
