The White House has rejected calls for Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick to resign after newly released Epstein documents reignited scrutiny of his past relationship with the convicted sex offender.
White House spokesperson Kush Desai on Monday defended Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick after renewed calls for his resignation over alleged ties to late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, following the release of documents suggesting continued contact after Epstein’s 2008 conviction.
CNN’s Manu Raju questioned Rep. Thomas Massie, who replied, “No, he should just resign… the prince lost his title for less than what we’ve seen Howard Lutnick lie about.” Desai dismissed the criticism, saying, “President Trump has assembled the best and most transformative cabinet in modern history.”
