“You need to be more responsible” – Trump publicly rebukes Netanyahu at G7

President Trump publicly rebuked Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu over last weekend’s strikes in Lebanon, calling them “vicious” and “too much” — even as he insisted the two leaders share a “great relationship.”

Donald Trump has a message for Benjamin Netanyahu: cool it.

Speaking from the G7 summit in France, Trump called last weekend’s Israeli strikes in Lebanon “vicious” and “too much,” according to CBS News — a rare public rebuke of his closest regional ally.

The strikes nearly derailed the US-Iran truce Trump had just brokered, hitting a Hezbollah command centre in Beirut just hours before the deal was set to be formalised.

“You don’t have to knock down an apartment house every time you’re looking for somebody,” Trump said, adding that Netanyahu “has to be more responsible with respect to Lebanon.”

Trump even suggested Israel let Syria handle Hezbollah — claiming they’d “do a better job.”

He softened the blow with familiar praise — “without me, there would be no Israel” — but the frustration is real. Fox News reported Trump asked Netanyahu point-blank: “What the f*** are you doing?”

Friendly fire, apparently, has limits.
