Donald Trump Jr. publicly accused Senator Ted Cruz of misrepresenting the Trump administration’s Iran memorandum of understanding, insisting no money is being handed to Tehran.
A MAGA spat just broke out in plain sight. Donald Trump Jr. went after Senator Ted Cruz on X Wednesday, accusing him of “lying thru his teeth” about the administration’s new Iran agreement, Mediaite reports. The clash stems from Cruz’s interview with The Daily Wire, where he warned that releasing billions to Tehran before any nuclear concessions was a mistake, arguing the money could fund groups hostile to American interests. Cruz also flagged concerns that the deal hands the Iranian regime lasting influence over the Strait of Hormuz, calling it hard to see any upside for the US.
Trump Jr. fired back, insisting the deal doesn’t send Iran a single dollar and accusing Cruz of spreading misinformation to undercut his father. He framed the criticism as contrary to the MAGA cause. The MOU itself was reportedly signed late Wednesday night in Versailles, adding fresh fuel to an already heated debate over the agreement’s terms.
