A man’s body was discovered in the landing gear of an Air Arabia flight that landed at Gatwick from Tangier, Morocco, prompting an investigation by Sussex Police and the coroner, according to the BBC.
A grim discovery at Gatwick Airport: a man’s body found in the undercarriage of an Air Arabia plane that touched down from Tangier around 11:45 BST on Tuesday. Airport officials confirmed the find, saying their teams are supporting both Sussex Police and HM Coroner with inquiries.
It echoes a similar tragedy from December 2022, when a stowaway’s body was found in a Tui flight’s landing gear after a journey from The Gambia. Sadly, such cases aren’t new — other stowaways have died attempting the same risky journey in past years. Air Arabia has been contacted for comment. (Source: BBC)
