Bill Gates has alleged that Jeffrey Epstein attempted to blackmail him over extramarital affairs, using the information to pressure the Microsoft co-founder into maintaining their relationship.
Testimony released by the US House Oversight Committee reveals Gates told lawmakers Epstein appeared to be gathering personal information and using it as leverage after their association began to cool. Gates clarified he was never actually blackmailed but believed Epstein was clearly heading in that direction.
RT News reports that the billionaire philanthropist also admitted his association with the convicted sex offender was a serious mistake, insisting he remained unaware of the full extent of Epstein’s crimes. Their meetings, Gates maintained, were largely tied to fundraising discussions around global health initiatives.
