Veteran actor Danny Glover has revealed that he has been living with Alzheimer’s disease for several years, according to an exclusive interview with TODAY.
The 79-year-old star said he decided to go public with the diagnosis alongside his family, acknowledging that the progressive condition would continue to change his life as it advances.
Glover said he remains supported by family and friends and continues to stay active in his community despite slower speech, movement and memory since his diagnosis.
His daughter, Mandisa Glover, said the family wanted him to control his own story and help reduce the stigma surrounding the disease.
TODAY reports that Glover continues to advocate for social justice causes while receiving support from loved ones as he navigates life with Alzheimer’s.
