Billionaire investor Peter Thiel accused Pope Leo XIV of inadvertently serving Chinese interests through his AI regulation stance, while warning of a coming democratic-socialist takeover of the Democratic Party.
THIEL VS THE POPE
Peter Thiel launched a series of controversial claims at the Aspen Ideas Festival in Colorado, accusing Pope Leo of unintentionally functioning as a Chinese communist agent by advocating stronger AI oversight.
According to Breitbart, Thiel made the remarks during a nonrecorded panel alongside political scientist Francis Fukuyama, arguing that the Pope’s message would slow AI development in the US while being ignored in China.
Thiel also warned of a coming “democratic-socialist takeover” of the Democratic Party, pointing to recent electoral wins by self-identified democratic socialists, and argued the American Revolution was fundamentally a revolt against an all-powerful parliament rather than King George III.
