The FBI wants him found — and it’s putting real money behind the search.

According to a report by Peoples Gazette, the bureau announced Wednesday it is offering up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Fahad Mohamed, 41, a naturalised US citizen wanted in a $5 million COVID-era fraud scheme.

Mohamed allegedly owned a vendor company that submitted fake invoices for food never supplied, siphoning millions meant to reimburse child meal programs during the pandemic.

Charged in 2022 with wire fraud, conspiracy to commit money laundering, and money laundering, he’s been on the run since, with a federal warrant issued in Minnesota. Authorities believe he has ties to Somalia and may be living there.
