Prominent MAGA figures, including Laura Loomer, are casting doubt on Sen. Mitch McConnell’s hospital photo and health statement, demanding video evidence instead.
Loomer, MAGA Figures Question McConnell’s Hospital Photo
Sen. Mitch McConnell’s office released a photo Sunday showing the 84-year-old beside wife Elaine Chao in what appeared to be a hospital bed, alongside a statement denying a stroke or heart attack, The Daily Beast reports. The image came hours after Sen. Lindsey Graham’s sudden death, and marked McConnell’s first public appearance since his June 14 hospitalization.
Laura Loomer questioned why only a photo, not video, was released, calling parts of the image “AI-generated” and doubting McConnell wrote the statement himself. She also referenced an earlier claim that McConnell was “brain dead.”
Others, including Jason Chaffetz and Kylie Jane Kremer, echoed calls for video proof, with Kremer questioning the photo’s metadata. The Daily Beast has contacted McConnell’s office for comment.
