The Pentagon has identified two US soldiers killed in Iranian strikes on a Jordan air base last Friday, marking the first American casualties from Iranian attacks since March.

The US Department of Defense on Monday named two soldiers killed in Iranian strikes on Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan. 1st Lt. Tyler James Feehan, 25, of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, died Saturday, while Pvt. Isabella Gonzales, 19, of Carrollton, Texas, died Friday, according to CNN.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed responsibility for the Friday attack. Four other service members were medically evacuated to a hospital in Jordan but have since been discharged, US Central Command said.
The deaths are the first American casualties from Iranian strikes since March, as fighting between the two countries has intensified over the past week despite officials expressing openness to diplomatic talks.
