Trump’s endorsement of Graham barely moves the needle, lifting her to 16 percent while Gowdy still leads at 35 percent.
The numbers explain why allies like Sen. Tim Scott keep pushing Gowdy to jump in. Scott called him the person who “best represents the heart of South Carolina,” though Gowdy’s team says he has no interest and hasn’t discussed the race.
