Pentagon identifies third U.S. soldier killed in Jordan base attack

BREAKING: The Department of War has released the identity of a third U.S. service member believed to have been killed in the Iranian attack on Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan.

Officials identified the soldier as Sgt. Angel Rampersad, 28, who had previously been listed as missing following the July 17 attack.

She was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 57th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 52d Air Defense Artillery Brigade, 10th Army Air and Missile Defense Command in Ansbach, Germany, and served as a 25U Signal Operations Support Specialist.

“We extend our deepest, most heartfelt condolences to her family and all those who are navigating this unimaginable loss.”
