JD Vance has suspended a Secret Service agent suspected of leaking his “diva demands” to the press, according to a report by the Daily Beast.
An earlier MS NOW report revealed Vance’s security detail was fed up with his erratic travel plans and “inappropriate” use of taxpayer-funded protection, including a scrapped demand for agents to accompany his son via Marine helicopter to a golf lesson.
Agents reportedly made mocking coins and stickers, including ones reading “Bobcat OTR Survivors Club,” referencing Vance’s codename and the frequent last-minute changes to his plans.
CNN sources say the suspected leaker has been placed on administrative leave, with Vance’s entire detail now under internal review by the Secret Service’s internal affairs division. It remains unclear what punishment, if any, will follow.
Vance’s office previously said the Vances were “grateful” to agents who “serve our country with distinction” despite the challenges of protecting a young family.
