Bill Gates has transferred $7.88 billion to Pivotal Philanthropies Foundation, a charity led by his ex-wife, Melinda French Gates, according to 2024 tax filings. The donation, part of a reported $12.5 billion divorce settlement, followed Melinda French Gates’ exit from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in May 2024. Pivotal Philanthropies focuses on women’s rights, economic opportunity and social equity.
