I hate the way we let whatever party we belong to determine what we think is “right or wrong.”
All Americans can embrace a secure border and fair enforcement of our immigration laws. But that’s not what’s happening with I.C.E. right now!
To the contrary: their tactics are increasingly unhinged and unlawful. As a result, they are terrifying nannies, roofers and restaurant workers— many of whom are lawful residents or US CITIZENS who have never violated our laws!
No American should support the idea of thousands of hastily-hired, poorly-trained, overpaid government agents wearing masks and running roughshod over human dignity and basic rights.
EVERY American should hold I.C.E. to a higher, lawful standard.
