Maxwell alleges secret DOJ deals with Epstein associates undermined the fairness of her trial.
Ghislaine Maxwell filed a habeas corpus petition claiming 29 friends of Jeffrey Epstein were protected through secret Justice Department settlements. She argues, “None of these men have been prosecuted and none has been revealed to Petitioner; she would have called them as witnesses had she known.”
Maxwell says these alleged deals violated her constitutional rights and the terms of Epstein’s 2007 non-prosecution agreement. The 64-year-old, serving 20 years for sex trafficking, seeks to vacate her sentence, asserting prosecutors ignored deals with co-conspirators while targeting her.
