Jon Ossoff (D-GA) said Americans “may lose our republic” if voters fail to reject President Donald Trump’s policies in the upcoming midterm elections. He criticized federal law enforcement actions in Georgia, calling them “deeply disturbing, deeply chilling, deeply menacing,” and warned that the election is crucial to restoring checks and balances.
Ossoff urged voters to anticipate “dirty tricks” and mount an “unprecedented effort to get out the vote and defend voting rights.” He stressed that landslide victories in Georgia and other battleground states are essential to counter abuses of power and secure the future of the republic.
