Epstein files review finds missing FBI records on woman’s allegation against Trump

Newly released Epstein files are missing key FBI interview summaries related to a woman’s unverified allegation against President Trump, prompting questions from lawmakers.

The Justice Department’s latest release of investigative files related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein omitted several F.B.I. memos tied to a woman’s unverified allegation against President Donald Trump, according to a review by The New York Times. An index showed four F.B.I. interviews were conducted in 2019, but only one summary was made public.

The department said “the only materials that have been withheld were either privileged or duplicates,” and cited the possibility of “an ongoing federal investigation.” A White House spokeswoman said Mr. Trump had “been totally exonerated on anything relating to Epstein,” while lawmakers raised concerns over the missing records.
