A 22-year-old man, Jeremiah Taylor, has been arrested for the alleged rape of a 94-year-old woman in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The victim reportedly suffered broken bones during the horrific attack. According to WAFB 9, Taylor has a prior criminal history that includes arrests for rape, burglary, and unauthorized entry, though his most recent arrest was dismissed by the District Attorney’s office.
During a press conference, Police Chief TJ Morse expressed visible irritation regarding the prior dismissal, directing scrutiny toward the broader judicial system. “It is a source of frustration in our department and with our officers. Why this has happened is some questions that I would love you all to ask the rest of the judicial system,” Morse said.
