Peskov also criticised what he described as the collapse of global legal order, saying “we have all lost what we call international law.” Russian President Vladimir Putin meanwhile pledged “unwavering support” to Iran’s new Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, as global markets reacted to the crisis with oil prices surging above $100 per barrel.
