A Manhattan federal jury has convicted the Alexander brothers, including two top New York real estate brokers, of sex trafficking after a trial involving testimony from multiple alleged victims.

Prosecutors argued the brothers “used a consistent playbook to lure, isolate and rape their victims,” while defense lawyers insisted the encounters were consensual despite acknowledging crude behavior.
Manhattan U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton said the verdict “cannot undo the effects of heinous abuse… but it does send a message.” One defense attorney said they disagreed with the ruling and planned to appeal.
