US officials reveal Israel nearly out of missile interceptors

Israel has warned the United States that it is running low on ballistic missile interceptors as the war with Iran continues, though US officials say their own stockpiles remain sufficient.

Israel has informed the United States that it is running critically low on ballistic missile interceptors as the conflict with Iran intensifies, according to US officials. Reports indicate Israel had already depleted much of its stockpile during last year’s fighting, while sustained Iranian missile attacks have further strained its long-range defence systems.

A US official said Washington had been aware of the shortage for months. “It’s something we expected and anticipated,” the official told Semafor. The official added that the United States is not facing similar shortages and remains capable of defending its interests and military bases in the region.

Despite the concerns, US officials said Israel is exploring solutions to address the shortage, while still relying on other defences such as fighter jets and the Iron Dome missile defense system for shorter-range threats. US authorities maintained that American stockpiles remain adequate for ongoing military operations.
