Unsealed documents reveal texts between Tyler Robinson and Lance Twiggs in the hours after the assassination of Charlie Kirk

Unsealed court documents reveal never-before-seen text messages between Tyler Robinson and Lance Twiggs in the hours after the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

Robinson tells Twiggs “I am fucked” and there’s no way of “getting out of this” short of “my family being willing to cover for me.”

Robinson tells Twiggs a coworker just sent him a photo of “me on campus.”

He says he plans to call the police himself and “go out on his own terms” — explicitly stating he had “no intention of being drug through the courts in front of the country.”

The full exchange from the newly unsealed search warrant:

TYLER: “guess im just sittin in my car watching reels for another hour, hopin this guy fucks off.”

(Tyler is waiting for a cop to leave the area where he stashed his gun, which he is attempting to retrieve.)

LANCE: “are you ok still?”

TYLER: “yes, checking spot again now.”

TYLER: “I’m sorry, but I think this might be it. If the way is clear I can try and come your way to say goodbye, after that I have a spot in mind that I’ll call the police to.”

LANCE: “Are there cops outside?”

LANCE: “And why are you calling the police anywhere?”

TYLER: “Not yet, but I have no doubt they will be on me within the hour. And I will be giving my location up and going out on my own terms. I have no intention of being drug through the courts in front of the country. Can I come see you? After that I can call my dad and see if he’s willing to help me or not.”

LANCE: “im just at my parents rn, maybe I could make an excuse to head home for a bit.”

TYLER: “you would need to do that right now.”

LANCE: “any ideas?”

TYLER: “for an excuse? idk.”

TYLER: “for getting out of this? None, short of my family being willing to cover for me I am fucked.”

LANCE: “i’m not gonna be able to leave.”

LANCE: “whats something urgent I would need to leave for?”

TYLER: “you could say there’s an emergency at home that I need you for.”

LANCE: “i said i’m swapping laundry, heading home now.”

TYLER: “nice. I will see you soon”

TYLER: “coworker has just sent me the still of me on campus. What is your eta”

LANCE: “like three minutes”
