Hunter Biden has reportedly left the United States and is now living abroad, according to a legal filing submitted by his attorney, Barry Coburn. The document claims the president’s son “cannot afford” mounting legal fees and is currently facing around $17 million in debt linked to his legal battles.
The filing, submitted on April 6, also stated that Biden is assessing which of his ongoing lawsuits to continue. It follows earlier statements in which he said, “Look at the past six years of my life and the $17 million of debt that I’m in, as it relates to my legal fees,” and acknowledged financial strain affecting his income sources.
Court documents further indicate Biden has struggled to maintain stable earnings, with key revenue streams drying up. He has faced multiple legal and professional setbacks, including disbarment in Connecticut and Washington, D.C., following findings of misconduct related to prior federal convictions.
