JAKARTA, Indonesia – An explosive eruption on Mount Dukono, a remote Indonesian volcano, has killed three hikers, according to authorities. On Thursday, approximately 20 climbers ascended the 1,355-meter (4,445-foot) peak on Halmahera island, defying established safety restrictions, stated North Halmahera police chief Erlichson Pasaribu.
