In a significant military shift, US Ambassador Mike Huckabee confirmed Israeli Iron Dome batteries were deployed to the UAE, citing an “extraordinary relationship between the UAE and Israel” rooted in the Abraham Accords. While the UAE has not publicly acknowledged reported strikes on Iranian refineries, presidential adviser Anwar Gargash stated the country has a right to defend itself, noting, “Arab-Iranian relations in the Gulf cannot be built on confrontations and conflicts.”
Despite a fragile month-long ceasefire, President Trump recently rejected Iranian demands to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, calling their proposal “totally unacceptable.”
