President Volodymyr Zelensky defended Ukraine’s largest long-range drone attack on Moscow, which killed at least three people, calling the retaliatory strikes entirely justified.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has described drone attacks that killed at least three people in Moscow as “entirely justified,” according to the Daily Mail.
The retaliatory strike, following a Russian bombardment that killed 24 in Kyiv, is Ukraine’s largest-ever assault on the Russian capital. Russia’s military reported intercepting 556 Ukrainian drones nationwide, including 130 in the Moscow region. The long-range strikes hit targets over 500 kilometers from the border, including an oil refinery and Sheremetyevo airport.
Acknowledging the operation, Zelensky posted: “Our responses to Russia’s prolongation of the war and its attacks on our cities are entirely justified. This time, Ukrainian long-range sanctions reached the Moscow region.” Russian officials condemned the operation, accusing the Kyiv regime of carrying out a “mass terrorist attack.”
