The United States Department of War has released a second batch of declassified documents and videos related to Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena, including footage of UAP formations and historical reports dating back to 1948, as part of President Donald Trump’s transparency drive.
The United States Department of War on Friday released the second tranche of declassified records under the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters, known as PURSUE, following an initial release on May 8, 2026.
The latest release includes videos of a four-UAP formation over Iran in 2022, footage of a Syrian UAP exhibiting instant acceleration, UAP reports from Sandia Base spanning 1948 to 1950, a CIA intelligence report from the USSR in 1973, and an Apollo 12 medical debriefing audio recording from 1969.
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said the release demonstrated the administration’s commitment to openness on the subject.
“These files, hidden behind classifications, have long fueled justified speculation — and it’s time the American people see it for themselves. This release of declassified documents demonstrates the Trump Administration’s earnest commitment to unprecedented transparency,” Hegseth said.
The Department of War noted that all materials released are unresolved cases, meaning the government has been unable to make a definitive determination on the nature of the observed phenomena.
