The Trump administration has released a second tranche of classified UFO files, including chilling 1969 audio from Apollo 12 astronauts describing mysterious flashes of light in space, Pentagon footage of an F-16 shooting down a UFO over Michigan, and reports of hundreds of UAP sightings near a New Mexico military base.
The Trump administration on Friday released a fresh wave of UFO files containing 46 classified videos demanded by lawmakers, explosive photographs, and previously sealed audio recordings, as part of its ongoing UAP transparency drive.
Among the most striking disclosures was audio from a 1969 medical debrief in which Apollo 12 astronauts Pete Conrad, Richard Gordon and Alan Bean described seeing mysterious flashes and streaks of light in the darkness while trying to sleep during the mission. NASA later determined the phenomena were internal to the crew’s vision rather than external light sources.
The release also included Pentagon footage showing an F-16 fighter jet shooting down an unidentified craft over Michigan’s Lake Huron in February 2023, as well as reports of at least 209 sightings of green orbs, discs and fireballs near a military base in Sandia, New Mexico, between 1948 and 1950.
“Today, the Department of War is publishing the second release of declassified and historical Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena files as part of the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters,” Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said.
