Former Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene has publicly denounced the MAGA movement as a donor-funded “lie,” accusing the Trump administration of prioritizing corporate interests and foreign real estate opportunities over the American public.
Former Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene characterized the “Make America Great Again” slogan as a “lie,” alleging the Trump administration’s first year back was dedicated to wealthy benefactors. Speaking with radio host Kim Iversen, Greene stated, “I think people are realizing it was all a lie. It was a big lie for the people. What MAGA is really serving… is their big donors.”
The former Georgia lawmaker, who resigned effective January 5, 2026, claimed financial contributors receive “special favors,” including government contracts and pardons. She criticized the president for encouraging private funding for projects like a $300 million White House ballroom. Greene argued that these “big, big donors” continue to exert influence through PACs while the administration neglects domestic issues.
Greene also slammed the administration’s foreign policy, specifically regarding Gaza, suggesting the conflict serves real estate interests. She described the current political landscape as a “new world order,” comparing the revelation of MAGA’s true nature to a “Scooby-Doo” meme. Ultimately, Greene alleged the movement “isn’t really about America or the American people,” citing fractures within the GOP.
