Newly released FBI documents reveal an unverified source claim that Jeffrey Epstein served as a wealth manager for Vladimir Putin and Robert Mugabe.
Jeffrey Epstein acted as a wealth manager for Russian President Vladimir Putin and former Zimbabwean leader Robert Mugabe, a confidential source told the FBI, according to newly released US Department of Justice documents. The claims were made in late 2017 and appear in files marked “Secret” and restricted from foreign access.
The unnamed source said Epstein “had dirt on other people” and earned money by “charging his clients fees to hide their money offshore.” The financier, who died in a New York jail cell in 2019, allegedly arranged meetings with Putin, though the documents provide no independent confirmation of the claims.
