Godzilla vs Kong Star Dies at 18
Kaylee Hottle, the deaf actress who starred as Jia in “Godzilla vs. Kong” and its 2024 sequel, died in a car crash, her family announced Tuesday, according to Peoples Gazette Nigeria.
She was 18.
Her father, Joshua Hottle, used sign language in a Facebook video to break the news of his daughter’s death. Police in Frederick, Maryland, said the crash was caused by “excessive speed,” noting Kaylee’s vehicle was the only one involved.
Her alma mater, Texas School for the Deaf, posted a condolence message on Instagram: “Our hearts are with Kaylee’s family, friends, classmates, and everyone who knew and loved her during this incredibly difficult time.”
