As G7 leaders voiced support for the US-Iran memorandum ahead of Friday’s signing, Trump warned the deal still isn’t final and threatened to resume bombing Iran if Tehran “misbehaves.”
Peace, but with an asterisk. At the G7 summit in France, Trump told reporters the US-Iran memorandum is “not final” — and if he doesn’t like the outcome, he’s ready to “go right back to dropping bombs right smack in the middle of their head,” citing 47 years of Iranian “misbehavior.”
Still, momentum is building: G7 leaders issued a joint statement backing the MOU, pushing for unrestricted, toll-free reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, and endorsing a French-UK-led mission to clear mines and protect shipping. Trump insists the US already “defeated” Iran, calling the naval blockade “100% effective.” Vance says the full text could drop as early as Wednesday, but Friday’s the hard deadline.
