Donald Trump declared himself “the boss” as he arrived for the final day of the G7 summit in France, drawing laughter from Macron and other world leaders.
Donald Trump didn’t hold back on his way into the G7’s closing session in Evian, France. “I’m the boss,” he announced as he strolled past the already-seated leaders, Tribune Online reports.
Macron played along, greeting Trump with a friendly “how are you?” before the US president took his seat.
Trump stuck around for the entire summit this time, a contrast to his early exit from last year’s gathering in Canada. His presence came just after he sealed a deal aimed at ending the Iran conflict and as he marked his 80th birthday.
Before parting ways, Macron extended a rare invitation for a private dinner at the Palace of Versailles.
