Emergency services rushed to the Palau de Noguera area around 13:30 local time after reports came in, finding the man seriously injured. He received first aid on scene but later died despite medical teams’ efforts.
The BBC reports local media suggested he may have struck power lines before falling, though officials haven’t confirmed the cause. Three fire brigades, two medical teams and police investigators responded, and the UK Foreign Office confirmed it’s supporting his family.
