The U.S. Air Force has given the public its first glimpse of the Boeing 747-8 gifted by Qatar that will serve as the next Air Force One.
The next Air Force One has been revealed and it’s a looker. The U.S. Air Force has released the first public images of the Boeing 747-8 that will soon ferry the president of the United States, announcing the milestone in an official news release.
Now stationed at Joint Base Andrews outside Washington, the aircraft a $400 million luxury jet accepted as a gift from the Qatari government last year has been fitted with a fresh red, white and blue livery and undergone final government modifications to ensure secure presidential transport.
Commissioning flights are set to begin before the plane enters active service, marking a significant step toward the Boeing 747-8 officially joining the presidential fleet.
