Trump says six arrested, seven cited over Washington Reflecting Pool vandalism

VIA FOX NEWS ON X:

President Donald Trump says six people have been arrested and seven others cited over alleged vandalism that caused extensive damage to Washington, D.C.’s Reflecting Pool.

Trump announced that authorities had arrested six people and cited seven others in connection with damage to the iconic Reflecting Pool in Washington, D.C.

According to the president, investigators believe the destruction was deliberate. He claimed a 350-foot gash found at the site was made using a sharp knife or razor and described it as a series of slashes stretching across a long section of the pool.

Trump said the damage appeared to have been carried out at night and required significant effort to execute. He also alleged that another section of the pool had been cut and lifted, leaving jagged edges behind.

Repairs are ongoing, with permanent restoration expected around the Fourth of July period.
