Madonna is getting real about what went into her most personal project in years.
In a new Interview Magazine feature, the pop icon revealed that Confessions on a Dance Floor: Part II was born from a turbulent period marked by grief including the deaths of her brother and stepmother family struggles and deep self-reflection.
A standout moment? Daughter Lourdes “Lola” Leon suggested they write a song together to mend their relationship. The collaboration produced “Good for the Soul,” a track Madonna described as a creative and personal turning point.
The album reunites her with longtime collaborator Stuart Price and serves as a sequel to her beloved 2005 dance-pop classic blending emotional storytelling with the dancefloor energy that made the original a global smash. It drops July 3.
