YouTube remains America’s top streaming platform with a 13.4% viewing share, while Netflix’s The Boroughs and Disney’s Toy Story 5 dominate TV and cinema respectively.
YouTube just won’t budge from the top spot. Streaming held a leading 47.6% share of household TV viewing in April, with YouTube climbing to 13.4% of total watch-time , comfortably ahead of the pack, The Hollywood Reporter reports, citing Nielsen data. Disney followed with 10.3%, then NBCUniversal/Versant at 8.2%.
On the weekly charts, Netflix’s The Boroughs surged to No. 1 with 1.74 billion viewing minutes, while The Crash held its grip as the most-watched movie. Prime Video’s Spider-Noir, starring Nicolas Cage, also impressed in its debut, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
At the box office, Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5 kept the momentum going, grossing $312 million worldwide — officially 2026’s biggest theatrical launch.
