RALPH NORMAN ENTERS RACE FOR LINDSEY GRAHAM’S SENATE SEAT

Republican Rep. Ralph Norman has entered the race to succeed the late Sen. Lindsey Graham in the U.S. Senate, setting up a high-profile contest for South Carolina’s vacant seat.

According to NBC News, Norman announced his candidacy Saturday, saying he wants to advance President Trump’s “America First” agenda and deliver stronger conservative leadership in Washington.

Norman joins a Republican field that includes businessman Mark Lynch and attorney Duke Buckner. His announcement comes days after Trump endorsed Darline Graham, the late senator’s sister and interim successor, urging her to seek a full term. The primary is set for Aug. 11, with a runoff on Aug. 25 if no candidate wins a majority, and the winner faces Democrat Annie Andrews in November.
