A mysterious “Dorito-shaped” aircraft was spotted flying over the highly classified Area 51 military base in southern Nevada after off-grid videographer Anders Otteson recorded the unidentified craft around 3 a.m. on Jan. 14 while filming in the desert near the installation.
Otteson said the aircraft appeared to have an equilateral triangle shape with a flatter trailing edge, no visible wings, and a jagged rear section, making it look different from the B-2 Spirit stealth bomber he had filmed earlier that night, though he noted the limited video resolution meant it could still be a known military aircraft.
“Are we looking at a classified test flight or run-of-the-mill training sortie?” Otteson asked, adding, “I certainly think we have something interesting here,” as Nevada recorded more than 40 triangular unidentified aerial phenomenon sightings in 2025, according to the National UFO Reporting Center.
