Jeffrey Epstein’s newly released will shows he intended to leave millions and prime properties to his girlfriend and close associates, though his estate was ultimately placed in a trust to compensate victims.
Jeffrey Epstein intended to leave his girlfriend Karyna Shuliak $50 million, a 33-carat diamond ring and several high-profile properties, according to a will signed two days before his death in August 2019. The document, released by the US Department of Justice, detailed plans for distributing his $288 million fortune.
The will listed at least 44 beneficiaries, including Shuliak, Epstein’s lawyer Darren Indyke, accountant Richard Kahn and longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell. Epstein also sought to leave Shuliak Little Saint James, his New York townhouse, Zorro Ranch and properties in Paris and Florida, noting the ring was given “in contemplation of marriage.”
However, Epstein’s estate was later transferred to a trust rather than distributed as outlined. The trust has since been used to compensate victims and cover taxes and legal fees, with court filings showing about $127 million remains from the original estate.
