Police investigating Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance seized a vehicle and removed a suspected camera from her home as authorities examined new leads and a message’s authenticity.
Law enforcement agents towed a blue Subaru SUV from Nancy Guthrie’s Arizona home on Friday and removed a wired device believed to be a camera from the roof after receiving a tip from a neighbor. Over 10 police vehicles converged on the Catalina Foothills residence as the search for the missing 84-year-old entered its seventh day. Authorities have not disclosed why the SUV was seized.
Neighbor Laura Gargano said, “I did notice on an aerial shot that it looked like her roof had been recoated recently.” Retired NYPD Inspector Paul Mauro said, “Apparently on that roof, the agents recovered a new camera.” Meanwhile, the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department said they are “actively inspecting the information provided in the message for its authenticity.”
