An investigation alleges Jeffrey Epstein and former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak promoted Israeli “field-proven” surveillance technology in Nigeria to advance security, oil and logistics deals.
An investigation by Drop Site News alleges that convicted American financier Jeffrey Epstein and former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak collaborated for more than a decade to promote Israeli surveillance technology in Nigeria, using security concerns tied to Boko Haram to secure access to the country’s oil and logistics sectors.
Citing emails released by the United States Department of Justice, the report says the pair marketed systems described as “field-proven” a reference to technology deployed against Palestinians and used security partnerships to facilitate broader commercial interests, including port projects linked to DP World. In a 2014 email regarding unrest in the region, Epstein wrote, “isn’t this perfect for you”, to which Barak replied, “You’re right in a way. But not simple to transform it into a cash flow.” Barak has previously expressed remorse over his association with Epstein while maintaining he was unaware of the full scope of Epstein’s crimes until 2019.
